Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- helps us identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to psychological distress. Benefits for use in facilities can be for depression, anxiety, improving function, adaptability to new living situation. Teaching 35 different tools for coping and life skills.


Motivational Interviewing-improves engagement in rehab, helps to adhere to care plans by promoting self management. Explore reasons to be motivated to change which lead to better health outcomes. Builds strong relationships. Can be used for weight loss and stroke recovery.


Mastering Mindfulness-enhances awareness and reduces automatic responses. Helps us manage emotions better and improves well being. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Mindfulness-Based Therapy for insomnia. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.


Solution Based Therapy-quick, goal oriented approach that focuses on finding solutions to current problems rather than dwelling on the past. Significant improvements can occur from small positive changes. Focus on strengths and develop strategies to identify goals.


Interpersonal Therapy- Belief that interpersonal problems can contribute to mental health symptoms. Improves communication and problem-solving. Primarily used for treating major depressive disorder, grief reactions, interpersonal conflicts and relationship difficulties.
